Hi, my name is Cheryl & I use they/them pronouns...
This is how I introduce myself in every single online space I'm in. While it "outs" me as queer and non-binary it also signals to anyone who as evolved past colonial concepts and structures of gender that I'm an ally, a safer person to share their perceived shames with, and hopefully an inclusive practitioner.
It also models for anyone unsure how to signal inclusion how easy this work can be once the fear of being cancelled for "doing it wrong" is released.
I have been NOT STRAIGHT for as long as I can remember in this lifetime, and a few times in past life times haha.
I spent my younger years coming in and out of the closet because even in modern times it's still illegal for my wife and I to be married, to have a family if we choose, and even to use bathrooms in parts of North America--because of FEAR.
As a Spiritual Mentor and Facilitator it's my divine responsibility to advocate for the inclusion of all people in all they're divine humanity to have equal value and opportunity.
I'm often one of (if not the ONLY) out queer person in Spiritual Entrepreneurship spaces because we don't feel safe even registering. I believe this is due largely to a lack of clarity not a mean or exclusionary spirit within the industry.
I have never felt SAFER that in "sisterhood spaces" even though the word sisterhood feels like cold oatmeal for my soul.
I'm certified Master Level from Trifecta Alchemy University through As She Rises by KC Volard. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies from before my spiritual awakening, a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing & Journalism from my deconstruction era, and I know how to research, study, and embody new codes and principles FAST.
I've done all this work in my lifetime so that you don't have to spend 15 years figuring it out.
I had to choose to rise above my fear of being made wrong for taking a higher perspective. For starting at basic DEI and anti-racism work and going GREAT this works for institutions and pedagogical frameworks, but how does it transcend the A+B=C paradigm of the old age and expand and rise into the Aquarian understanding?
